JF Companies Sells Trillium Development Property West of Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ — JF Companies, Inc., with offices in Phoenix and Denver, has completed the sale of its 3,000 acre Trillium development, west of Phoenix, Arizona to an adjoining developer and homebuilder. Trillium, acquired five years ago in the town of Buckeye, has its infrastructure and master plan complete, and will now serve as the entrance community for Douglas Ranch, a planned 34,000 acre development. Douglas Ranch developers El Dorado Holdings, Inc., Sonoran West Properties (a subsidiary of JDMD Investments, LLC), and the Apollo Group are the purchasers. •MORE

Colorado Governor Bill Owens to Form JCB Group, LLC

DENVER, Colo. — (December 27, 2006) Colorado Governor Bill Owens is forming a new investment venture with Denver-based JF Companies chairman Joel Farkas and JF Companies CEO and former Colorado House Majority Leader Chris Paulson. Developers Donate Millions to Foundation for New Schools

Residential builders in north metro area are making sure school district can keep up with burgeoning population by Erin Johansen, Denver Business Journal Developers in the fast-growing north metro region have contributed more than $4 million and pledged $12 million-plus to help build schools in three communities. The money is part of the Capital Facility Fee Foundation set up three years ago by builders, local lawmakers and school officials to help fund capital costs in Adams County School District 27J. The district includes Brighton, parts of Commerce City and Thornton as well as some of unincorporated Adams and Weld counties. •MORE
