I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone from the town of Buckeye who was involved in helping promote the bike race. The race was a huge success with over 930 racers (that’s 100 more then 2005 and 150 more then 2004) and more spectators and media coverage then ever before. The Valley of the Sun race has now become the highest attended bike race in the nation.

Lofts, Condos Are Hot Market in the Valley

When David and Jennifer Staciokas bought a unit at Orpheum Lofts in downtown Phoenix two years ago, lofts were still a novelty here.

Artist’s lofts were once found only in rundown warehouses. Seeking cheap rent and large spaces for their art, artists pioneered the use of lofts in New York City and Sand Francisco. Over time, these inexpensive spaces transformed into trendy homes for the downtown crowd. Prices rose, amenities turned luxurious, but the hallmark of lofts — a wide-open space with industrial finishes and high ceilings have remained constant.
